This programme aims to engage rangatahi through regular, structured sessions throughout the school year. By focusing on leadership, communication, teamwork, and cultural identity, we strive to equip our youth with the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Te Kaha o Tuakana program is designed to engage with rangatahi that are year 9, and year 10 from local high schools. We will form small groups, with no more than 15 students in each. These dedicated students will collaborate with us once a week for eight weeks during each academic term, with the exception of the first and last weeks of each term.
Our primary objective throughout each term is to foster the development of leadership, communication, and teamwork skills among these rangatahi. To be eligible for participation in our program, students must meet specific criteria set by their schools. These criteria include demonstrating the potential for leadership, maintaining an attendance rate of 75% or less, having experienced at least one pastoral care incident per term, and expressing a genuine desire to be a part of this enriching experience.
